MIU is a Romanian luxury couture brand that distinguishes itself with elegant couture dresses made-to-measure for special occasions. With the most refined materials and an infinite care for details, MIU has become a symbol of elegance and sophistication.
The sisters’ passion for fashion design started at an early age. They remember playing in the attic of the house, organising small fashion shows with their mother's clothes. Ever since then, they felt a strong attraction to the world of fashion and always dreamed of having their own collections.
They were motivated by the desire to create something unique and to bring joy and self-confidence through the clothes they create. “We chose this field because we believe that fashion has the power to express personality and positively influence people's lives.”
Alexia and Antonia started their journey in the world of fashion as models, with their first catwalk back in 2017. Since then, they have participated in various fashion Weeks in Paris, Milan, Dubai, Prague and Bucharest. They won the title of Best Kids Model of the Universe in Milan in 2018 and 2019 and they both won Grand Prix at International Fashion Runway Dubai 2020.
Their dream of opening their own fashion brand became a reality in 2021, with the launch of MIU and their debut collection, "Sisters' Love." This collection was unveiled during Dubai Fashion Week and earned them the Designer of the Year award. In 2022, they received the Best Designer award in Barcelona, for their second collection, “Fairytale”, and more recently, in July 2023, they won the award for Romania's Best Young Designer. These prestigious awards have strengthened their position and given them valuable recognition in the fashion industry.
Alexia and Antonia are part of the entire creative process and design their collections while envisioning a world where every young woman knows she can be authentic, confident and beautiful. The two sisters complement each other perfectly, with Alexia's artistic vision and creativity combined with Antonia's innate business sense and relentless drive.
They are more than just designers; they are role models for young girls around the world, inspiring them to chase their dreams with passion and creativity.
In the future, their dream is to open stores in all the fashion capitals and to see their creations sparkle the red carpet all over the world.
